Nick has been Ada’s sole tutor for Business GCSE since Ada is home schooled. He has taught Ada the entire GCSE in 9 months with one lesson per week. Nick’s focus is on practice questions and exam techniques. He would review with Ada her mind maps for answering questions and review her answers with the purpose of identifying ways to achieve top marks. The importance with GCSE’s is to have a tutor who knows what the examiner wants to see, rather than just a tutor who knows the content well. Nick does this. And Ada achieved a grade 9. Thank you Nick!

Highly recommend Nick. He helped my son achieve a strong pass in Business when he was borderline on whether he would pass or not. My only annoyance was i found him too late and could only have 10 sessions before the first exam. He is organised and quickly identifies where your child needs extra help.

I am extremely happy with the tuition I received from nick. In year 12 and start of year 13 I was consistently getting grades of U,E,D as someone who has never done business before nicks techniques and teachings helped motivate me and allowed me to believe in myself. I ended up going from my last mock grade being an E to my alevel result being a B. He helped me jump 3 grades and I am very pleased and grateful!

Nick is a charismatic tutor who explained content clearly and effectively so that I was able to transfer my knowledge into my essays. Before contacting Nick, I struggled with structure and timing, but with his help, I was able to write high quality essays. I started with Nick at Christmas, just after my first set of mocks, I had been disappointed with a C, then a few months later in my next set of exams I got an A*.

We recommend Nick wholeheartedly. My grandson had Nick for one lesson a week for several months to prepare for his ’A’ Level and went from a predicted U grade to an achieved C. My grandson’s comments on Nick were "He was clear, thorough and well organised and made sure I understood each point before we moved on. He kept the end goal in sight at every lesson and kept reinforcing that it was important and linked that to every new topic we covered. I would recommend him". My son was a grade 4/5 when we started with Nick & he received a grade 8 in final exams only 1 mark off a 9! Nick helped specifically with exam technique & tackling the different question types & strategies / formulas for each type of question so he always had a structure to stick to to maximise marks. I can give 5* without any doubt, my daughter got dyslexia and had problem with understanding the subject, she had regular Business lessons with Nick and he lifted her two grades up.

Great Tutor. Helped me achieve an A in A Level business with just one year of studying the course.

My son did not do well in his Mocks and he needed help to understand how to answer.long questions. We found Nick online and were reassured that he could help from the very first free lesson. My son really enjoyed his hour a week with Nick and we have just received his A Level results, achieving a B, well above his predicted D Grade. Thank you Nick.

The personal tuition offered by Nick was transformational. His style, his communication, his insight was top class and ultimately moved my son’s grades up 3 levels to an A* from what was predicted. I had Nick as a tutor in my last couple months of my A levels- disheartened over my mock results (I got a C) knowing I could’ve done so much better. Nick was completely all in and was beyond helpful in improving my exam technique and writing skills- and made me feel so much more confident in my ability to answer essay questions. I ended up getting an A which seemed impossible at the time but I could not be more grateful for his constant support and excellent teaching style!

Nick has helped my daughter to gain confidence in her Business Studies A level to such an extent that in her last test, she got 100%! She was extremely anxious previously, but Nick has given her methods of working that she understands and can apply with confidence. Nick has a very approachable manner which means that he has developed a really nice working relationship with my daughter. She almost looks forward to the sessions now!

Nick has been working with our daughter (year 12) since the beginning of Oct. She was struggling with the long answer questions and Nick has been excellent in tutoring her on these.
She started the term getting C’s and at this end of term exam (only 2 months in) she came out with an A - and one mark off an A* - 82%. I have no doubt that without Nicks help that result would not be this brilliant! I can’t recommend him enough, he is an excellent teacher and has helped boost her confidence as well as her ability.

I honestly cannot recommend Nick enough . My sons mock A levels didn’t go to plan and it completely knocked his confidence, it wasn’t that he didn’t know his subject he just didn’t approach the exam questions correctly . Nick took time to understand who he was and taught him how to structure the questions in the correct format and over the weeks we all saw his confidence restored and he was apply this exam technique with his other subjects. Nick was extremely patient and genuinely cared about my sons welfare and wanted him to achieve “his best”. He always answered any questions or queries I raised in a timely manner . So if you want someone who knows his subject matter, has a way of breaking down the topics into easily understandable sections and has a really empathy with his students then you have found the right tutor , we can’t thank him enough .

Saved me

I cannot thank Nick and Allen enough for their support for my daughter for the tutoring and help with my daughters A level mock business exam (my daughter is in year 12). Allan picked up early on that my daughter has slow processing needs which had never been picked up with her current secondary school. My daughter has since been tested and Allan was completely right. This means that my daughter will now be allocated extra time with all her exams going forward. Allan’s tutoring has been exceptional and has gone above and beyond with helping my daughter, his style of teaching is tailored to each students needs. Allan has really helped my daughter with reaching her full potential and I would have no hesitation in recommending Nick and Allan. Although Allan is my daughters tutor, Nick has kept in touch with me to make sure everything is running smoothly. Honestly, Nick and Allan are by far the best tutors I have come across. I cannot thank them enough!!!
