Real Businesses Earn Real Marks
A-Level Business exams test more than knowledge. Examiners reward students who apply theory to the business in front of them, build chains of reasoning, and reach a justified judgement. Businesses a student already knows, like the factory down the road or the port on the news, make those skills far easier to practise.
Your tutor uses examples from your county alongside past-paper case studies, and marks every answer against the four assessment objectives.
Knowledge & Understanding
Precise terms, formulas and calculations.
AO2“What does it mean for this business?”Application
Using the evidence, not generic points.
AO3“What happens next, and why?”Analysis
Complete chains of cause and effect.
AO4“So what should the business do?”Evaluation
A clear, justified judgement.

Do you offer A-Level Business tutoring in my county?
Yes. All lessons are one-to-one and online, via Google Meet, so we teach students in every county in England. Where we’ve published a local area guide, it lists the schools, exam boards and local examples for that area; everywhere else, we plan around your school and board in exactly the same way.
Is online tutoring as effective as a tutor at home?
For A-Level Business, yes. Lessons run from a shared Google Doc, so your son or daughter writes, and sees feedback, in real time, and keeps the whole document as revision notes. It also means you can choose a fully qualified Business teacher rather than whoever lives nearby.
Which exam boards do you teach?
We teach GCSE and A-level Business for AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR, and BTEC Business at Level 2 and Level 3. We don’t currently support International Baccalaureate (IB) Business Management. If your school uses a different board, tell us before booking and we’ll let you know whether we can help.
Do you teach students in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland?
Our lessons are built around the AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications used in England. Students elsewhere in the UK taking one of those boards are welcome; most schools in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland use different qualifications, so please check with us first.
What time are lessons?
Lessons are booked at times that suit you, usually after school, in the evening or at weekends. You choose dates and times from each tutor’s availability when you book.
How many lessons will my son or daughter need?
Most students have one 60-minute lesson a week. Early in Year 12, once a fortnight can work; after February half-term in Year 13, two or three a week is common for the final push.
